These Terms govern your use of CarFixMate. By accessing or using the app, you agree to use it responsibly and understand that its vehicle guidance is informational and AI-assisted.

Acceptance of Terms

By using CarFixMate, you agree to these Terms and to any applicable policies referenced in the app or on the CarFixMate website. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of Service

CarFixMate provides tools for organizing vehicle information and obtaining informational guidance related to warning lights, OBD trouble codes, symptoms, repair quotes, service history, repair-shop information and, where appropriate, external searches for related repair videos.

Informational and AI-Assisted Guidance

Some features use AI-assisted processing. Results are generated from the information you provide and may contain errors, omissions or multiple possible explanations. They should be treated as guidance rather than a confirmed diagnosis.

No Professional Automotive Advice

CarFixMate does not replace a qualified mechanic, technician, manufacturer procedure, professional inspection or diagnostic testing. Decisions about vehicle operation, maintenance and repair remain your responsibility.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, reviewing results critically, maintaining your vehicle appropriately and seeking qualified help when needed.

Safety-Critical Situations

Do not rely solely on CarFixMate for safety-critical decisions. If your vehicle has severe braking or steering problems, overheating, smoke, fuel leaks, severe vibration, loss of power, a flashing warning light or another condition that may be unsafe, stop driving when appropriate and seek professional or emergency assistance.

Accounts

If account access is offered, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. You should notify support if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and are managed through your Apple ID. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refund rules are subject to Apple's applicable terms and settings.

Apple App Store Terms

When you download or purchase CarFixMate through the App Store, Apple's terms and policies also apply to that transaction and distribution relationship. Apple is not responsible for CarFixMate's vehicle guidance or content.

Third-Party Services and Links

Some CarFixMate features interact with or open third-party services, including Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, NHTSA vPIC and YouTube. When you choose an external action such as VIN identification or Search YouTube, the third party's own terms and privacy practices also apply. CarFixMate does not control, review or endorse individual third-party repair videos or other external content.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or harmful content, abuse usage limits, reverse engineer protected components where prohibited by law, or use CarFixMate in a way that violates applicable law.

Intellectual Property

CarFixMate, including its software, interface, branding and original content, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of CarFixMate or its intellectual property to you.

Availability and Changes

Features may be updated, changed, limited or discontinued as the service evolves. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, infrastructure issues or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CarFixMate is provided on an "as available" basis without a guarantee that guidance will identify the exact cause of a vehicle issue, that every feature will always be available, or that all content will be error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CarFixMate is not liable for losses resulting from reliance on informational guidance when professional inspection, diagnosis or repair was required. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary for abuse, security, legal compliance or serious violation of these Terms. You may stop using CarFixMate at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be waived.

Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated as CarFixMate's features, business practices or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revised Terms are published.
